Capstone Hotel Management celebrated a standout night at the 2026 HM Aotearoa-Pacific Awards, held at Hilton Auckland on Friday 30 October, with two of its properties taking out category wins. Coronet Ridge Resort in Queenstown, which opened less than a year ago, was named winner of the Boutique Hotel category, while Ratanui Lodge in Golden Bay took home the title of NZ Lodge winner.
The night also brought news for Ratanui Lodge General Manager Nick Biggins, who has been named a finalist in the NZ General Manager of the Year category. The winner will be announced at the HM Awards gala dinner in Sydney on 20 November.
Marsden Group chief operating officer, Clare Davies, says the HM award wins reflect the people and purpose behind each property. “To see Coronet Ridge Resort and Ratanui Lodge recognised by the hotel industry is a proud moment for everyone at Marsden and the Capstone family. While the properties offer exceptional lodgings in spectacular settings, these awards are a testament to our teams who care for our guests every day. And to Nick, whose leadership at Ratanui has been a real inspiration, we wish him the very best of luck in Sydney for the coveted general manager of the year award.”
The fourth annual HM Aotearoa-Pacific Awards celebrate excellence across the hotel, hospitality and tourism sector in New Zealand and the Pacific. The wins for Capstone recognise the consistently high standard of guest experience, service and operational excellence delivered by the teams at both properties.
