Brad Olsen steps back from Infometrics leadership

Infometrics chief executive Brad Olsen is stepping down from the role to focus on his work as principal economist, with Gareth Kiernan appointed acting managing director.

Brad says the move will allow him to spend more time working with clients and communicating economic issues.

“I’m wanting to better focus my time on ensuring as many people as possible – Infometrics clients, decision makers and the public at large – are better informed and that economics is put simply.

“Moving back to the Principal Economist role means I can best dedicate my time to getting out and interacting with our clients, and seeing the economy up close and personal.”

Board chair Chris Whelan thanked Brad for his leadership over the past three and a half years.

Gareth, who joined Infometrics in 1999, previously served as managing director before becoming operations director in 2014.

He says he is looking forward to building on the company’s work providing economic data and analysis.
