NZ Airports has appointed Graeme Sharman as chief executive, with the aviation and infrastructure specialist taking up the role on August 1.
Graeme succeeds Billie Moore, who is leaving the industry body after three and a half years as chief executive.
He joins NZ Airports from Te Waihanga, the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission, where he led investment review and assurance work. His career has also included roles with Wellington International Airport, Air New Zealand, the Ministry of Transport and a range of infrastructure consultancies.
Chair Matt Clarke says Graeme’s experience across aviation, regulation and infrastructure investment makes him well placed to lead the association.
“Graeme brings a genuinely whole-of-system view of aviation, from airline commercial strategy through to live airport capital delivery, aviation regulation and policy.”
Graeme says he is looking forward to representing airports of all sizes.
“NZ Airports plays a critical role in advising and convening across government, regulators and industry. I’m looking forward to representing a membership with different needs and scale under one credible, evidence-led voice.”
