EVT Hotels & Resorts has appointed veteran hotel executive Harry Thaliwal to the newly created role of executive vice president – Asia as the company accelerates expansion across the region.
Based in Bangkok, Harry will lead EVT’s growth strategy across Asia, joining the group’s expanded development team as it seeks to grow brands including QT, Rydges, Atura and LyLo beyond its traditional home markets.
Harry brings more than 30 years’ hospitality experience across Asia Pacific, most recently serving as chief executive of Cross Hotels & Resorts. He has also held senior leadership roles with Centara Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotels Group.
EVT director of hotels and resorts Norman Arundel says the appointment strengthens the company’s ability to pursue opportunities in the world’s fastest-growing hospitality region.

In the new role, Harry will focus on accelerating hotel development opportunities, strengthening industry partnerships and expanding EVT’s footprint across key Asian markets.
