Entries close later this month for the 2026 New Zealand Tourism Awards, with tourism businesses and individuals encouraged to put forward their achievements for industry recognition.
The annual awards celebrate excellence across New Zealand’s tourism sector, recognising innovation, leadership, sustainability and collaboration. This year’s awards programme includes 14 categories, with 11 business awards and three individual honours.
Business categories include the Air New Zealand Supreme Tourism Award, the Sudima Hotels Tourism Excellence Award for large businesses, the ServiceIQ Tourism Excellence Award for small and medium businesses, and the KiwiRail Tourism Environment Award. Other categories recognise innovation, community engagement, visitor experience, Māori tourism and employer excellence.
Individual awards acknowledge outstanding contributions to the industry through the Auckland Airport Tourism Industry Champion Award, Emerging Tourism Leader Award and the Sir Jack Newman Outstanding Industry Leader Award.
Businesses can enter multiple categories, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
The winners will be announced following Tourism Summit Aotearoa at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre in Ōtautahi Christchurch on November 4.
Entries close at 5pm on June 25.
