The Sky Tower turned off its lights last night and will do so again tonight to honour the passing of the leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis.
The move follows a directive from the Prime Minister for the New Zealand Flag to be flown at half-mast on all Government and public buildings on Tuesday, April 22 and Wednesday April 23, 2025.
The Sky Tower, a landmark of national significance, will go dark as part of the country’s tribute to Pope Francis.
