Ride with pride thanks to Booking.com

Those heading to Winter Pride in Queenstown this year will be able to travel proud in style thanks to Booking.com’s ‘Ride with Pride’.

Returning as a Winter Pride platinum partner for the third consecutive year, Booking.com is launching ‘Ride with Pride’: an exclusive bookable SUV transfer service, offering festival-goers an inclusive and safe means of getting to key on-mountain events.

A limited number of seats are available for this exclusive one-off experience and can be booked here from Monday August 21, at 12pm on a first come-first-serve basis for specific events on the festival calendar.

Proceeds from the bookings during the course of Winter Pride will be donated to OutLine Aotearoa.

This bookable experience comes off the back of the back of Booking.com’s most extensive LGBTQIA+ Travel Proud research to date, revealing how active allyship within the travel industry is playing a part in shifting perceptions with stats showing:

  • 84 per cent of rainbow travellers feel more comfortable travelling due to the increased inclusivity of the travel industry
  • 74 per cent of respondents more likely to seek out attractions and activities that are tailored to people identifying as LGBTQIA+
  • 77 per cent say they are more likely to book travel and experiences with brands who are LGBTQ+ owned than those who are not
  • 83 per cent agree that they are more likely to favour airlines and brands with inclusive policies (eg. gender neutral uniforms)
