QT Hotels takes home two wins

QT Hotels & Resorts is celebrating a double win in the annual Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, with QT Wellington ranking number two and QT Queenstown securing number three on the highly-regarded list of best hotels in Australia and New Zealand.

QT Wellington and QT Queenstown were the only New Zealand properties to earn a coveted placement on the list of Top 10 hotels, among eight commendable properties in Australia.

Recognised for three consecutive years, the celebrated QT Wellington has advanced from number seven in 2019, while QT Queenstown’s scene of alpine luxury has broken into the rankings for the first time, after opening its doors in late 2017.

“With signature service at the heart of QT, guests from around the globe have landed QT’s two New Zealand properties on the world stage, and we can’t thank them enough," says General manager operations New Zealand at EVENT Hotels and Resorts Simon White.

"These awards are a nod to the talented teams across QT Wellington and QT Queenstown who bring a touch of the unexpected to each stay.”

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry. More than 715,000 readers submitted reviews of their travel experiences across the world.

“The results of this year’s survey, conducted at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, are a testament to the lasting power of a meaningful travel experience," says U.S. editor of Condé Nast Traveler Jesse Ashlock.

"The winners represent the best of the best for our audience and offer plenty of trip-planning inspiration for all the adventures we can’t wait to have next.”

Each QT property throughout New Zealand and Australia blends signature quirk and luxury with acclaimed food and beverage programmes, setting a global standard for experiential hotels.

With common threads of design-led wonder, each QT draws on the local influences of their community and surrounds. Home to New Zealand’s largest private art collection and a collection of bespoke Gallery 4 rooms, QT Wellington celebrates the creative capital with partnerships across the buzzing cultural scene. With sweeping views of the Remarkables, QT Queenstown’s modern design is set against a backdrop of alpine divine, challenging guests to endless adventure.

This notable accomplishment of QT Wellington and QT Queenstown comes just one month before the third property in New Zealand and tenth QT Hotel in the group opens its doors in the City of Sails – a hint to the level of luxury and signature service to expect at highly-anticipated QT Auckland.

“QT Wellington and QT Queenstown’s success have rightly set expectations higher than ever for the debut of their sister property QT Auckland," says Simon.

"We can’t wait to welcome guests into the heart of the extraordinary next month.”
