A self-drive tour of New Zealand for Chinese foodies will be launched at the Xiyangyang (happy or cheerful) Lifestyle and Travel Expo at ASB Showgrounds on October 12-13.
The China Travel Service has just signed an MOU with New Zealand Food Basket Ltd to organise FIT tours to promote food-related products from 18 SMEs.
Tours may include factory and farm visits. CTS will create a personalised food-themed tour and promote it to Chinese-speaking visitors.
A suggested itinerary includes Auckland Fish Market, Babich Wines, Muriwai Beach, Auckland Museum, Sky Tower; Hamilton or Vogel’s and Zealong Tea Estate, Hamilton Garden, Agrodome, Oha Honey, Te Puia, Skyline, Government Gardens, Polynesia Spa, Rotorua; the Redwoods Whakarewarewa Forest and Pic’s Peanut Butter, in Nelson.
