The 30th edition of Business Events Industry Aotearoa’s comprehensive guide to New Zealand for event planners is now available online and in print
Launched to hosted buyers at MEETINGS 2022 in Christchurch last month, the anniversary guide has been distributed to more than 3000 clients in New Zealand and Australia.
BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins says after 30 years, the guide is still considered the ‘industry bible’ for event planners.
Featuring all 22 regions of Aotearoa with detailed information and stunning images, the guide makes it easy for event organisers to plan events across a diverse range of regions.
“Each region brings something unique, special, and aspirational to enhance any event. From subtropical Northland steeped in culture and history, to the rugged, magnificent pasturelands of Southland and with the Fiordland region on its doorstep, and everything in between,” she says.
The 180-page guide features a four-page section for every region, as well as key event planning resources and tools for event organisers including contacts for the regional convention bureaux throughout the country, maps, and a supplier index sorted by types of support services.
The striking front cover features the distinctive deep blue, green and purple of the native Pāua shell.
“The way the vibrant and iridescent colours of the shell shift in the light symbolises change and transition, and represents communication.
“It also represents communication, which is fitting for a sector that promotes collaboration and communication. The PƒÅua reflects the importance of relationships in this changing world,” she says.
