Business Events Industry Aotearoa’s (BEIA’s) Outstanding Contributor Award for 2026 has been presented to Eugene Fraser, general manager of Peek Exhibitions.
BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins says each year one worthy recipient was chosen to be celebrated by the industry.
“This year we acknowledged and thanked Eugene, who for the last 24 years has led New Zealand’s highly respected, family-owned firm Peek Exhibition, an organisation whose history is intricately tied to the development of New Zealand’s business events industry,” she said.
“Over the years, Eugene has played an integral role in developing industry standards and contributing to governance at an Australasian level – all while leading a business that is now in its third generation of family ownership.”
The 2026 BEIA Outstanding Contributor Award was presented during The Bizzies Award gala dinner at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre October 28.
