MSC Cruises has launched the first of a new collection of longer European combination voyages for Australian and New Zealand travellers – the opening step in a bespoke program built on the scale of MSC Cruises’ operation across the region with more combinations to come.
The new sailings respond to a clear shift in how Australians and New Zealanders want to travel to Europe: bringing together two consecutive MSC Cruises itineraries into one seamless holiday, so guests can experience completely different parts of Europe while keeping the same ship as their home throughout. No changing hotels, navigating airports, or dragging suitcases between destinations.
The first combinations will sail round-trip from Southampton (London) aboard MSC Meraviglia, taking guests from the Atlantic coast of France, Spain and Portugal before turning north towards the spectacular landscapes of Norway and the fjords, or the waterfront cities of Scandinavia.
From wandering the streets of Lisbon, to experiencing the Norwegian Fjords, guests can book onto MSC’s shore excursion program at each port of call, making the most of their time in each destination.
The combinations are just the first in a growing collection MSC Cruises plans to bring to the Australian and New Zealand market. The scale of MSC Cruises’ European operation makes that possible with 14 ships sailing across the region and eight positioned there year-round.
That scale opens an enormous range of potential combinations from the Western and Eastern Mediterranean to the Adriatic, Greek Islands, Canary Islands, Atlantic coast, Baltic and Norwegian fjords. More combinations will be announced for Australian and New Zealand guests in the near future.
Katrina McAlpine, managing director, Australia and New Zealand for the MSC Group Cruise Division, says the new combinations respond directly to the way Australians and New Zealanders travel.
“We’re increasingly seeing our guests and travel partners look at back-to-back cruises as a way of creating a bigger European holiday, and with the scale of MSC Cruises in Europe, we have an incredible opportunity to make that much easier.
“And this is just the beginning. Our presence across the region means we can connect itineraries in ways few other cruise lines can, giving Australian and New Zealand travellers an enormous choice of longer European adventures.

As part of MSC’s Best Holiday Ever promotion, fares for MSC Grand Voyages start from $3,519 per person for an inside cabin, or $4,919 per person for a balcony cabin.
Four departures are available in 2027 May 29, June 12, July 10 and September 4, with bookings opening August 20 2026 through travel agents and MSC Cruises Australia.
