Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand has expanded its senior team with two new appointments across sales and marketing. Rachael Findlay has joined as director of sales – corporate, conference and incentives, while Angelique van der Merwe has been appointed head of marketing and brand.
Rachael brings more than 20 years of senior sales and leadership experience across New Zealand and Australia, including roles with Accor, Mantra and Naumi. She most recently supported the launch of Drifter hotel–hostels, helping establish the new brand in the market.
In her new position, she will lead Millennium’s national corporate, conference and incentives sales teams, focusing on revenue growth, client relationships and positioning the group’s hotels as preferred partners.
Angelique joins with more than 22 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience across luxury hotels, international brands and major hotel groups. Formally qualified in hospitality management and holding digital marketing credentials, she has reintroduced several well-known brands to market, building recognition and loyalty while maintaining commercial performance.
As head of marketing and brand, she will oversee brand strategy, digital transformation and long-term market positioning for Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand.
Vice president sales and partnerships Melanie Beattie says the appointments come at a pivotal time for the business.
