Since opening one year ago, Horizon by SkyCity has quickly established itself as an award-winning 5-star hotel.
The hotel earned significant recognition, including accolades at the prestigious New Zealand Architecture Awards 2025 and the Holmes Group Tourism and Leisure Property Award at the Property NZ Awards 2025 and is rated the #5 hotel on TripAdvisor in Auckland.

Positioned as the closest hotel to the upcoming New Zealand International Convention Centre, set to open in February 2026, Horizon by SkyCity continues to offer world-class service to both international and domestic visitors.
At the heart of the hotel lies the award-winning restaurant The Grill, renowned for its outstanding culinary offerings. Famous for its signature Beef Wellington, The Grill has served more than 1600 of these mouth-watering dishes and has hosted 1200 celebrations, including 13 marriage proposals.
