The Tourism Export Council New Zealand (TECNZ) has recognised some of the country’s leading tourism businesses and individuals at the 2026 Tourism Export Awards in Christchurch.
The awards celebrate excellence in visitor experiences, business performance, sustainability, leadership and industry contribution, while the YoungTEC Awards recognise emerging leaders in the sector.
Tourism Export Council chief executive Lynda Keene says this year’s winners demonstrate the strength of New Zealand’s tourism industry.
“Our winners exemplify the innovation, professionalism and passion that make New Zealand’s tourism industry internationally respected.”
Among the major winners were Southern World, named Large Inbound Operator of the Year, Distinction Hotels Group, which received the Large Allied Operator of the Year Award, and Bloomoon New Zealand, recognised as Small/Medium Inbound Operator of the Year. Auckland & Beyond Tours was named Small/Medium Allied Operator of the Year.
The YoungTEC Awards recognised Emma Bradley, of First Light Travel, with the Leadership Development Award, while Emma Clarke, of Ngāi Tahu Tourism, received the Rising Star Award.
Service awards were also presented to Anna Black, Mark Quickfall and Paul Yeo in recognition of their long-term contributions to TECNZ and the tourism industry.
