The Tourism Export Council of New Zealand (TECNZ) is pleased to announce its next annual conference, scheduled August 6th and 7th, 2025, at the Copthorne Hotel & Resort near Waitangi and Paihia in the stunning Bay of Islands.
This annual event, held in different regions of New Zealand each year, will welcome 300 international tourism delegates. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain the latest industry insights from a lineup of compelling speakers and engage in valuable networking sessions.
Lynda Keene, chief executive of TECNZ says “We are delighted to be hosting 250 delegates from around New Zealand in the Bay of Islands for the 2025 Annual Conference. Partnering with the team from Northland Inc, we aim to promote the region to New Zealand’s largest and most prominent tourism businesses, showcasing its spectacular landscapes, visitor experiences, and hospitality to international visitors.”
The conference will attract a diverse delegate profile, including business owners, managers, and international sales and marketing representatives who work in key offshore visitor markets. These delegates are instrumental in promoting New Zealand as a premier destination in a highly competitive global environment.
Participants will include Inbound Tour Operators, responsible for bringing 60% of international visitors to New Zealand, as well as accommodation providers, activity and attraction operators, transport operators, and various businesses that support the visitor economy and regional tourism organizations.
Tania Burt, head of Tourism and Communications at Northland Inc says “Te Tai Tokerau Northland looks forward to warmly welcoming delegates to the 2025 TECNZ Conference in the Bay of Islands. Northland is home to iconic destinations and hidden gems, offering much to share with visitors. We have world-class operators putting Northland in the international spotlight, and it is timely to host our fellow TECNZ members and industry peers to showcase more of our region.”
