Tourism businesses are well represented among the finalists in the 2026 Development West Coast Leading Light Business Excellence Awards.
Finalists announced across six categories include Franz Josef Wilderness Tours, Franz Josef Wildlife Centre, Reefton Distilling Co, Host’d, Te Aka Treehouse Native Forest Retreat and Okarito Sandfly Repellent.
Development West Coast chief executive Heath Milne says the calibre of entries reflects the strength and diversity of businesses across the region.
“The judges had a difficult job narrowing the entries down to the finalists, and we congratulate everyone who took the time to enter.
“We have a great group of finalists and we’re looking forward to celebrating their success in September.”
Category winners and the Supreme Award recipient will be announced at the Leading Light Business Excellence Awards dinner at the West Coast Events Centre at Shantytown on September 24.
