Christchurch will host New Zealand’s business events industry when the Business Events Industry Aotearoa Conference and The Bizzies awards return to the city in October.
The annual conference will be held from October 28–29, with The Bizzies taking place on the opening night to recognise excellence, innovation and leadership across the business events sector.
The programme will begin with a welcome function at One New Zealand Stadium before conference sessions at Christchurch Town Hall and The Bizzies gala dinner at Te Pae Christchurch.
BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins says the conference has been designed to address the issues shaping the industry’s future.
“We are inviting organisations across the business events sector… to consider attending Conference 2026 as a team, not only to share the experience, but also to cover more sessions and absorb a broader range of insights.”
Lisa says the programme will include economist Brad Olsen, alongside sessions on industry trends, professional development and collaboration.
Registrations are now open, with earlybird rates available until September 20.
