LyLo has strengthened its leadership team as the design-led accommodation brand prepares for further expansion across New Zealand and Australia.
The EVT-owned brand has appointed Steve Kimi as operations manager and Stephen Bradley as general manager of LyLo Queenstown.
Managing director Tim Alpe says the appointments are intended to support the company’s next phase of growth while maintaining the brand’s identity.
“Proudly New Zealand founded, we’re building our team with high-quality talent in anticipation of our upcoming growth,” Tim says.
“Our philosophy has always been to build design-led, budget-friendly properties with social experiences that bring travellers together.”
Steve joins the business after more than two decades with EVT, where he most recently led the group’s New Zealand cinema network.
He says LyLo’s appeal lies in its ability to connect with modern travellers.
“I’ve seen what it takes to build and scale brands. What stands out with LyLo is how clearly it resonates with today’s traveller, creating spaces people genuinely want to play and stay,” Steve says.
Stephen brings more than 20 years of tourism and hospitality experience, primarily in the Queenstown market, alongside earlier international experience in television.
He says the opportunity to combine local agility with the support of a larger organisation was a key attraction.
“We have the backing and the opportunities of an ASX-listed company in EVT, and on the ground in Queenstown we stay agile, run local events and pour everything into our community while providing unforgettable stays for our guests,” Stephen says.
The appointments follow the launch of LyLo Road Trips, a summer campervan pop-up concept designed to extend the brand’s accommodation offering beyond its properties.
