Pragma Hospitality Group has officially opened Te Awa Suites, a redeveloped apartment-style accommodation property on Hamilton’s Ulster Street accommodation corridor.
Located at 272 Ulster Street, the property has undergone a full redevelopment, delivering 21 studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments aimed at families, groups and extended-stay business travellers.
The accommodation includes two accessible rooms alongside in-room kitchenettes, dining areas, workspaces, laundry facilities and smart televisions with streaming services.
Free WiFi, secure on-site parking and optional continental breakfast delivery are also available.
Pragma Property Group managing director Sanjil Mistry says the project reflects the company’s focus on lifting accommodation standards in Hamilton.
“We’re proud to bring a prominent Ulster Street site back to its best and contribute to the ongoing revitalisation of the city’s motel corridor,” Sanjil says.
“Our investment in Te Awa Suites has not only created jobs and added to Hamilton’s local visitor economy but signals the beginning of our broader ambition to lift the standard of motel accommodation across the city.”
Expansion plans
Te Awa Suites follows the company’s launch of Hamilton Motel in October 2025 near FMG Stadium Waikato.
Pragma Hospitality Group now operates two Hamilton properties and says it plans to open another four accommodation developments across New Zealand in coming years through both redevelopments and new builds.
Targeting business and leisure travellers
Te Awa Suites is located about 25 minutes from Hamilton Airport and within walking distance of FMG Stadium Waikato.
The property is positioned to cater to both leisure and corporate travellers seeking larger-format accommodation options with self-catering facilities.
