EVT has appointed Brett Forer to the newly created role of chief development officer, hotels and resorts – Asia Pacific, as the company expands its regional hotel growth strategy.
Brett joins EVT after nearly 20 years with Accor, where he led network expansion across multiple market segments throughout the Pacific, with a focus on management and franchise agreements.
Focus on regional hotel expansion
EVT says the appointment reflects its commitment to strengthening its development pipeline across the Asia Pacific region.
EVT director of hotels and resorts Norman Arundel says the company sees strong growth opportunities ahead.
“We have real conviction in the growth opportunity ahead for EVT Hotels & Resorts across Asia Pacific.
“Bringing Brett on board is a direct expression of that confidence — he has the relationships, the track record and the commercial instinct to accelerate what we’re building.”
Industry experience
Brett says EVT’s owner-operator model was a major factor in his decision to join the company.
“EVT has built something genuinely compelling — a portfolio of strong brands and great assets, backed by a reputation with owners for delivering results.
“That owner-operator mindset is rare, and it’s a real competitive advantage.”
He says he is looking forward to helping shape the company’s future hotel development pipeline across the region.
