Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the appointment of Shrikant (Shree) Borishaha as the new general manager for Club Wyndham Wanaka.
Shree has served in leadership roles over eight years in hospitality and was most recently general manager at Parehua Resort in Martinborough.
Shree commenced his hospitality career as night manager in nearby Queenstown and has also served as a hotel duty manager, front office manager and head of operations.
“Shree has worked for global names in hospitality and has an exceptional track record leading and developing high performing teams, exceeding business targets and delivering incredible customer experiences while keeping control over costs,” says Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific senior vice president resort operations Warren Cullum.
“The responsibility Shree has been given in a relatively short hospitality career shows the development opportunities available to people who work hard and show promise in the industry.”
Shree has spent his entire career in the New Zealand centres of Christchurch, Wellington, Queenstown and Martinborough and has made a point of supporting each community through a position on a tourism board or charity memberships. He has both a Bachelor and Masters degree in Hospitality Management.
The 68-apartment Club Wyndham Wanaka is a lodge-style resort close to Otago’s renowned Lake Wanaka, and its apartments are currently undergoing a multi-million dollar refurbishment which Shree will help supervise. So far, the reception area and bar have been refreshed, while a project to refurbish all apartments recently began and is scheduled to finish by the end of the year.
The resort offers a diverse range of accommodation options, from spacious studios to the expansive four-bedroom Presidential suite boasting luxuries like a generous balcony with hot tub, full kitchen, wet bar, gas fire with stone fireplace, and underfloor heating. Resort facilities include a heated pool with waterslide, spa, gym, barbecue facilities, ski drying room and onsite bar and café.
Club Wyndham Wanaka is part of Club Wyndham South Pacific, one of the region’s leading vacation clubs offering close to 60,000 members access to 52 resorts across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
