Go with Tourism and IHG introduce the IHG Skills Academy

Go with Tourism and IHG Hotels & Resorts have partnered to bring free learning and upskilling opportunities to New Zealand’s tourism and hospitality workforce.
The IHG Skills Academy, a virtual learning platform, was launched in the UK last October and offers free online education, courses and opportunities for people looking to build their confidence, get employment ready and explore their career options in the sector.

As well as having access to global resources and learning modules, people who mention ‘Go with Tourism’ during their registration will gain access to a New Zealand-specific ‘playlist’ of curated content.
Educating and upskilling the industry and rangatahi hoping to kickstart their careers is a crucial factor in maintaining a successful and sustainable workforce.
Go with Tourism is excited to help IHG promote this wonderful platform across Aotearoa, saying that they will: introduce the Skills Academy to secondary schools across the country, encourage jobseekers to work on skills that will help them find employment, ask businesses to share and utilise the platform with their staff, and promote tourism and hospitality learning and upskilling for everyone.
To incentivise registrations and encourage learning, IHG Hotels & Resorts have offered Kiwis the chance to win with a fantastic competition.
Whoever completes the most learning modules on the IHG Skills Academy between April 1-30, 2023, will receive 50,000 IHG points that can be used on one night in an IHG hotel or put towards a longer stay.
To be in with the chance to win, select ‘Go with Tourism’ as your choice for “how you heard about the IHG Skills Academy” when you register.
Registration is free.
IHG will inform Go with Tourism of the winner in the first week of May.
