Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park opens

Holiday Inn’s newest flagship hotel – Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park – has now opened its doors and is welcoming guests to its vibrant next-generation lobby which is the first of its kind for the brand in New Zealand.

Not just a place to check-in or pass through before heading out for the day, the lobby of the hotel invites guests to linger longer and make themselves at home in its inviting, free-flowing living spaces to eat, drink, work, meet, relax, and socialise.

Mirroring a laid-back living room, guests can move seamlessly between the expansive fireplace, Giants Restaurant and Bar with its fine selection of Central Otago wines and craft beers, the media lounge with Rolling Giants to-go Café, cosy seating areas for reading or playing board games, and E-Bar with plug-in power, free Wi-Fi, and wireless printing.

With 182 rooms and suites, the hotel is first full-service accommodating offering to open within the new Remarkables Park retail, accommodation, residential and recreational development in Frankton.

Perfectly positioned to explore all sides of Queenstown and the greater Central Otago region, Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park is situated a convenient five-minute drive from Queenstown Airport and 30-minutes to the slopes of The Remarkables ski area.

Snow-seekers can check the weather conditions from the comfort of their mountain-view room, fuel up with breakfast at Giants Restaurant or grab-and-go provisions from Rolling Giants to-go Café. Within 30-minutes’ drive, guests will be boarding the chairlift to catch the first run of the day. Conveniently, the hotel provides a secure drying room and storage for ski and sports gear.

A high-tech gym enables guests to maintain their health and fitness routine indoors, while scenic trails for running, walking, and biking are easily accessible from the hotel’s doorstep.

Guests can retreat indoors to warm, comfy and cleverly designed twin, king and accessible rooms and suites, many with balconies and spectacular mountain views. All rooms include Vittoria pod coffee machines, robes, slippers, smart TVs with Chromecast technology for personal app streaming, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms are bright and roomy complete with dual shower heads, and SOAK superfood skincare amenities.

Designed with floor to ceiling glass, a reflection of Queenstown’s natural beauty continues indoors with organic textures throughout. Timber finishes and natural stone combined with shades of forest green and iron ore provide a sense of connection to the landscape, and serene calm.

Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park is the only accommodation in the area that offers distinct food and drink options at Giants Restaurant and Bar and Rolling Giants to-go Café.

Inspired by the mountainous giants of the Southern Alps, Giants Restaurant and Bar plates up refined rustic food and drink infused with local flavours. For a casual bite to eat or to satisfy the most giant of appetites, Rolling Giants to-go Café offers both healthy and indulgent snacks, teas, and Vittoria barista coffee throughout the day.

Families travelling with children aged 12 years and under stay and eat free in Giants Restaurant when sharing a room with their parents.

Perfect for corporate groups and events, the hotel presents four flexible meeting spaces that cater to events for 30 to 200 people. The E-bar provides a co-working space for guests to plug-in and feel part of the social vibe of the lobby, enjoyed with a drink and snack on the side.

“Our opening is perfect timing for the summer holiday season in Queenstown, as well as lockdown and border restrictions easing for Aucklanders. We are excited to welcome holidaying families, leisure and business travellers to our flagship, next-generation design Holiday Inn hotel in New Zealand," says general manager of Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park, Mathew Simister.
