Hotel Grand Windsor welcomes back guests

The globally-renown Hotel Grand Windsor is reopening its doors to the public on Saturday, August 14, following the conclusion of a seven month exclusive agreement with Air New Zealand to support returning flight crew requiring self-isolation.

Despite zero cases of COVID-19 being detected at any stage during this period, and all flight crew isolating for only 48 hours each, a precautionary and thorough deep clean of the entire hotel has been undertaken by specialist company Pro-Clean including all furniture and soft furnishings.

All Hotel Grand Windsor staff are vaccinated against COVID-19.

Hotel Grand Windsor general manager, Christopher Dickinson said the team is eager to welcome back guests to enjoy the world-class hospitality and luxurious accommodation in the heart of Auckland city.

“We were thrilled to be able to keep our entire team together during the pandemic and there’s definitely a feeling of excitement to be welcoming back guests from around the country and hopefully from around the world in the near future.

“It’s important that we reinforce that this property was not an MIQ hotel. We are proud that we could play our part in supporting Air New Zealand to bring Kiwis home safely during the earlier months of the year.”

The Hotel Grand Windsor has already gained Qualmark COVID-19 Clean Certification and is part of the Accor Allsafe initiative, a global programme that represents newly elevated hygiene and prevention protocols and standards to provide assurance to guests.
