Taking New Zealand tourism product to the world

A new sales representation service launches this week at the Tourism Export Council New Zealand Conference in New Plymouth.

The New Zealand Travel Collective has been developed by experienced tourism marketer, Trish May.

It provides an umbrella for representation of a range of New Zealand’s leading tourism accommodation and activity providers.

“As accommodation and activity providers rebuild, they may have few sales and marketing resources in-house. The New Zealand Travel Collective provides a cost effective solution to reach the travel trade,” says Trish.

During the Travel Trade Expo portion of the conference Trish presented inaugural members of the collective to 30 inbound tour companies sharing product details and information on product developments.

Inaugural members of the collective are:

  • Edgewater – Lake Wanaka
  • Queenstown House – Boutique Bed & Breakfast & Villa Apartments/Lakeside Luxury Apartments
  • Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters and Queenstown Snowmobiles

Trish considers now is the right time to launch this service. “The services of agents throughout the distribution chain will assist travellers and provide confidence in the post-pandemic era, when travel is likely to be more complex."

Other services offered include regular electronic communications with agents providing product information, zoom training sessions, sales activity in New Zealand and Australia and dedicated personalised enquiry assistance
