Webinar to look at tourist behaviors post COVID-19

Victoria University of Wellington is hosting an online webinar to look at tourist behaviours in a post COVID-19 world where three leading tourism researchers.

The webinar, 'How will tourist behaviours change in a post COVID-19 world?' will host speakers including Associate Professor of Tourism Futures at Wellington School of Business and Government Dr Ian Yeoman, Associate Professor and programme leader postgraduate in international tourism management at Auckland University of Technology Dr Heike Schänzel and chair, academicbBoard and Associate Professor Tourism and Management at Federation University in Australia Elisa Backer.

The webinar will ask questions such as: What will the future tourist look like? What will change, what will be left behind and what should New Zealand tourism focus on?

With a focus on domestic markets, three leading tourism researcher’s focus on this new world with insights into changing behaviours, the importance of families and visiting friends and relatives. This webinar will provide insights about change and offer practical guidance to business and destination planners.

The webinar will be hosted on May 8 from 2.30pm.
