A new app is set to make booking a table at a restaurant a breeze – which will hopefully help diners while helping restaurants, too.
First Table is excited to announce that the restaurant discovery platform is now at diners’ fingertips, with the launch of the First Table app in New Zealand.
Foodies can now book new and favourite restaurants at the touch of a button – literally!
With hospitality businesses hit hard during COVID, founder Mat Weir saw the app as a great opportunity to support restaurants, by bringing venues closer to First Table’s foodie pals.
During the August 2021 COVID-19 Alert Level 4 lockdown, the business had the opportunity to focus resources solely on app development with five developers and a designer involved.
Mat is delighted that the app is finally here after ramping up development in the past year.
“When I launched First Table, the goal was always to develop the platform into an app alongside the website. The app is the easiest way to discover new restaurants near and far, making it quick and convenient to book your First Tables on the go.
“Whether you’re looking for casual dining with the kids, or the chance to try something new, it’s now easier than ever.”
The First Table app is the best place for people to discover new foodie hotspots and connect with loved ones in their neighbourhood. It's now easier and faster to know when new restaurants launch on the platform, when there’s last-minute availability, promotions, new menus and much more to come.
Although the app launched in New Zealand on May 13, more than 7000 people around the world have already downloaded it after it was made available during a soft launch in early April.
First Table is popular with foodies who are keen to discover new cuisines and flavours, while being rewarded for dining early with 50 per cent off the food bill.
