Tourism New Zealand chief executive Stephen England-Hall has announced the appointment of Brodie Reid to the position of director marketing.
“Brodie has shown extraordinary leadership in her role as global manager brand and content for the past two years, her inclusive working style has earned the respect of her colleagues, the Board and the industry,” says Stephen.
Brodie has played a significant role in the development and delivery of the latest 100% Pure New Zealand, Tiaki – Care for New Zealand and #getNZonthemap campaigns.
Brodie’s recent work on the global 100% Pure New Zealand Welcome campaign saw New Zealand’s people take centre stage to share their special place with the world and welcome visitors to Aotearoa.
The campaign launched in June in Australia and has had an extremely successful start, with engagement on social channels, leading to a 15 per cent increase in referrals for the industry. It is now live in China, Korea, North America, South America and Singapore with the UK, Germany and Japan still to come.
“Tourism New Zealand is an organisation that is working hard to ensure tourism enriches New Zealand, and that’s something that drives me to make our country stand out on a world stage. I’m excited to have the opportunity to do that in this role,” says Brodie.
Brodie has been at Tourism New Zealand leading the global brand and content team for the past two years. She comes from a background in advertising formally working at Colenso BBDO and Saatchi & Saatchi in Auckland, and before that multiple agencies in London. Brodie has worked with brands such as Heineken, Toyota, Air New Zealand, Coca-Cola, Westpac, Nestle, Kraft and O2.
The director marketing role is responsible for Tourism New Zealand’s campaign strategy and asset development, brand, major events, public relations, trade and insights activity. Brodie started in the role on September 23.
