The Corporate Traveller Collective event series returned to QT Auckland October 13, once again drawing a full house of business travel decision-makers for a morning of insights, conversation and connection.
Now in its second year, the bi-annual event has built a loyal following among New Zealand’s SME community, bringing together business leaders to share ideas and explore how they can get more value from their business travel programmes.
“We started this series because we saw a real gap in the market for a space where SMEs could have meaningful conversations about business travel, share ideas, network and build a community to support their own business growth,” said Angie Forsyth, general manager of Corporate Traveller New Zealand.
This month’s event centred on The SME Equation: Balancing People, Profit and Growth, looking at how businesses can make smarter travel decisions while continuing to support their people and growth ambitions.
Attendees heard from Air New Zealand’s Lucas McWilliam, GM Global Sales and Distribution, and Brydie Hill, GM NZ Sales, who shared insights into how the airline is navigating change, rebuilding capability and delivering Te Pae Hou – Our Future, Air New Zealand’s strategic reset.
Corporate Traveller’s Matt Niederer unpacked emerging travel trends and market insights, while Ange Jones highlighted how expense integration solutions can help businesses save time, reduce administration and gain greater visibility over travel spend.
Corporate Traveller customer, Vertical Horizonz New Zealand, who specialise in workplace health and safety training, shared how they balance cost management, growth and investment in their people. They spoke about how their values underpin who they are and help guide everyday decisions across the business.
“Hearing directly from our customers about how they’re responding to the business environment is what makes these events so valuable. Some of the best conversations happen when businesses realise they’re facing similar challenges and can learn from each other’s experiences. That’s what our Collective events are all about,” says Angie.
The event’s continued growth reflects a strong year for Corporate Traveller New Zealand, recently recognised with the Excellence in Marketing award at the 2026 2degrees Auckland Business Awards and ranked New Zealand’s preferred travel management company by Nielsen.
