Minor Hotels will open Avani Queenstown in September, marking the lifestyle brand’s debut in Queenstown and its second property in New Zealand.
The hotel has been created through the redevelopment of the former Oaks Shores Resort, transforming the serviced apartment property into a full-service hotel.
Chief operating officer Craig Hooley says the opening reflects both the strength of the Queenstown market and demand for premium lifestyle accommodation.
“Avani Queenstown introduces a premium lifestyle offering to one of New Zealand’s most dynamic tourism destinations.”
The lakefront hotel will feature AvaniSpa, fitness facilities, flexible event spaces and a new all-day dining venue, Six to Midnight.
Area general manager New Zealand James Billing says the opening reflects Queenstown’s evolution into a year-round destination.
“We’re excited to introduce Avani Queenstown to a market that continues to attract visitors year-round, offering a new way for travellers to experience one of New Zealand’s most iconic destinations.”
Avani Queenstown joins Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences as the brand’s second New Zealand property.
