Hotel brand and marketing studio Moda has been appointed to lead the marketing strategy for Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport following a competitive tender process.
The agency, led by founder and director Danelle Ayers, will work with the Pullman Auckland Airport team and Accor on brand positioning, campaign development and demand generation for the premium airport hotel.
Danelle says the appointment reflects Moda’s experience working with hotel brands and operators.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Pullman Auckland Airport team on this next phase of growth,” Danelle says.
“This is an exceptional property with a clear ambition to redefine what an airport hotel can be – not just a place of convenience, but a considered part of the journey.”
Moda was selected following a two-stage tender process involving several agencies.
Precinct general manager Pullman Auckland Airport Paul Columbus says the agency’s sector experience stood out during the selection process.
“With Moda’s extensive experience in hospitality brand strategy and marketing, we’re confident they will bring fresh thinking and a strong strategic lens to how we position and grow the hotel,” Paul says.
Accor New Zealand commercial director Rachael Nicholson says the partnership will support the hotel’s continued growth.
“Pullman Auckland Airport represents an important addition to the Pullman portfolio in New Zealand,” Rachael says.
“Moda’s strong understanding of hospitality brand strategy and marketing, combined with their commercially focused approach, made them a natural partner as we continue to build awareness and demand for the hotel.”
The agency will develop an integrated marketing programme covering brand positioning, campaign development, paid media, partnerships and PR activity.
As part of the programme, Moda will also work with Ginni Post of GP Communications to support public relations and earned media.
Danelle says combining marketing and PR expertise will help strengthen the hotel’s market presence.
“Hotels are complex ecosystems. Successful marketing needs to balance brand, creativity and storytelling, distribution, guest experience and commercial performance,” Danelle says.
Founded by Danelle after more than two decades working with hospitality brands in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, Moda specialises in hotel brand strategy, marketing and creative production.
