Hamilton Airport has seconded well-known Waikato-based project director Rob Dol to its senior leadership team.
From January, Rob will join the airport management team full-time for two years, moving from his current role as project director at Colliers Project Leaders to become group general manager – property and infrastructure.
Waikato Regional Airport Ltd chief executive Mark Morgan says Rob’s appointment is a natural transition, given his long-standing involvement with the airport and its property division, Titanium Park.
“Rob has been a key adviser to us for a number of years and has very ably led some critical projects on our behalf. He has been involved in most of our strategically important initiatives, including the recent terminal redevelopment and the completion of our 10-year property strategic plan.
“Rob was also the key driver behind the private plan change needed to open up Precinct North, part of Titanium Park,” Mark says.
“It means Rob has developed a very strong understanding of our business, our people and our strategic priorities, and it makes sense for us to capture that for the next two years and bring him fully into the fold,” he says.
Rob’s appointment follows the recent addition of Michelle Noordermeer to Hamilton Airport’s senior leadership team as group general manager – aeronautical growth and marketing.
Before joining the airport, Michelle managed her own consultancy after holding senior roles with Air New Zealand, CarbonClick and Auckland Airport.
