Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has launched the 10th edition of its global charity initiative, Kilo of Kindness, marking a decade of generosity that has supported communities around the world.
From Monday, October 13, to Friday, November 14, 2025, more than 70 Mövenpick hotels and resorts across almost 30 countries will support local charity partners by inviting guests, Heartists and neighbours to donate food, clothing, educational supplies and other essential items.
Launched in 2015 with the idea that “a single kilo can make a difference”, Kilo of Kindness has become a worldwide movement. Over 10 years, the initiative has collected more than 100,000 kilos of donations, supported hundreds of NGOs and reached communities globally.
At the core of Kilo of Kindness are Mövenpick’s guests and Heartists, who contribute each year with warmth and dedication. Their efforts have created lasting connections — from children receiving schoolbooks to families finding comfort through food and clothing provided in partnership with local charities.
“Ten years of Kilo of Kindness is a celebration of what can be achieved when generosity becomes a shared purpose,” says Accor premium brands global brand president Benoît Racle. “At Mövenpick, we believe that kindness is more than a gesture — it is part of who we are every day. This milestone reflects not only the kilos donated but the communities uplifted, the lives touched and the spirit of togetherness that defines our brand.”
To mark the anniversary, Mövenpick is highlighting 10 stories from hotels worldwide — including Mövenpick Hotel Auckland — that show how the initiative has made a difference.
From supporting children’s education and vulnerable families to providing food, clothing and shelter, the stories demonstrate the brand’s belief in generosity as a global force for good.
The 2025 campaign coincides with World Kindness Week, reinforcing Mövenpick’s focus on authentic connection and positive impact. As Kilo of Kindness enters its second decade, the brand says it will continue to foster generosity through everyday gestures of care and hospitality.
