Travvia, a leading travel and tourism group operating across New Zealand and Australia, has announced a leadership transition as part of its ongoing growth journey.
After five years as CEO, Dan Alpe will be stepping down from the role at the end of June and will continue with the business as executive director.
A co-founder of the business, Dan has been a key figure in its development over the past two decades. In his new role, he will remain actively involved across the group, with a focus on product innovation, development, and continuing to work closely with key trade partners, areas he is passionate about and where he will continue to make a strong contribution.
“It’s been an absolute privilege to lead this incredible business. What we’ve built together is something I’m really proud of and I am genuinely looking forward to the next chapter,” says Dan.
The CEO role will be assumed by experienced tourism executive Simon Birkenhead, who brings strong commercial and strategic credentials. Simon joins the business at an exciting stage of growth and will work closely with Dan and the wider leadership team to continue delivering Travvia’s customer-first vision.
“I feel incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved as a team,” says Dan. “Travvia’s purpose, values, and vision remain unchanged, and I look forward to supporting the next phase of our journey together.”
Travvia’s experienced team across Australia and New Zealand remains unchanged, and the business continues to be powered by passionate and capable people committed to delivering exceptional experiences to its customers and partners.
