Pure Tūroa Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Jono Dean as chief executive.
Following a period of strategic advisory work with PTL, Jono’s formal appointment marks a pivotal step forward for the organisation as it advances its long-term vision. Over the past 18 months, Jono has provided invaluable guidance as PTL navigated critical early milestones prior to and following the granting of the Tūroa concession by the Department of Conservation.
PTL’s strategy centres on key initiatives including capital raising, long-term licence renewal, infrastructure investment, strengthening stakeholder partnerships, and skier day growth. The Board recognises that delivering these goals requires strong, experienced leadership, and Jono brings the specialist skill set needed to lead Tūroa into this exciting new phase.
“We have been fortunate to have Jono advising PTL throughout the past year,” says shareholding director Cam Robertson.
“His insight and strategic advice have been invaluable. The Board has determined that the best way to achieve our goals is to formalise his leadership by appointing him chief executive.”
“Tūroa’s future requires both operational excellence and strategic foresight,” says shareholding director Greg Hickman.
“Jono’s leadership will empower our team to excel and ensure the business is positioned for long-term success.”
Jono brings a wealth of experience in tourism, alpine operations, mana whenua and stakeholder engagement and organisational growth. His appointment reflects PTL’s strong commitment to securing Tūroa’s future as a world-class alpine destination.
PTL also recognises the exceptional operational leadership already present within the business, and is confident that with Jono’s strategic leadership, the full potential of the team will be unlocked.
The Pure Tūroa Board is excited about the future under Jono’s leadership and looks forward to continuing to deliver outstanding experiences for Tūroa’s visitors, community, partners and stakeholders.
