Day Buyer registrations open on Wednesday, April 30, for New Zealand’s largest business events showcase, MEETINGS 2025 at Auckland Showgrounds on June 11-12.
Run by Business Events Industry Aotearoa, registration for the MEETINGS Day Buyer programme is free. Extra benefits include priority entry to the Celebrity Speakers NZ Showcase lunchtime sessions, and the Tourism New Zealand Knowledge and Destination Hub, plus a $100 flight rebate and industry accommodation rates for those travelling from outside of Auckland.
BEIA head of event delivery Chris Peak says MEETINGS is the biggest gathering of business events professionals and service providers in New Zealand.
“It’s a once-a-year opportunity to catch up with over 200 exhibitors from every region of New Zealand all under one roof, and to make the most of valuable networking and education sessions,” he says.
Hosted buyers are scheduled for 30 appointments in advance, while day buyers have more flexibility and can choose how much time they spend at the show over the two days.
“This year, Day Buyers will have the option to access an online diary the week before MEETINGS kicks off, so they can secure appointments with exhibitors.”
New for this year is a Technology Zone showcasing 11 of the industry’s leading organisations offering AV and event technology solutions.
The Peek Display Business Centre, another new initiative on the tradeshow floor will give buyers a place to stay connected and on top of their work between meetings.
Day buyers are invited to join the MEETINGS social programme and network with the best at the Celebration event at Viaduct Events Centre.
“The 2025 Celebration will put the spotlight on our top talent, culinary prowess and the theme – Regatta! – will channel Auckland’s City of Sails vibe right on the waterfront,” Chris says.
“Our partners, Auckland Conventions, Venues and Events, Urban Gourmet, The Events Group, The Production Agency, and Flock Events are pulling out all the stops to showcase New Zealand’s incredible creative and production skills,” he says.
The Celebration is set to go to the next level with an after-party at the QT Auckland rooftop bar from 11pm.
