In show of excellence and innovation, Ōpuke Thermal Pools and Spa in Methven has set a new benchmark in the tourism and hospitality industry by winning not one, but five awards at the ANZ Business of The Year Awards, February 24 2024.
Taking home awards in Excellence in Innovation and Technology, Excellence in Customer Service, Excellence in Environmental Sustainability, Excellence in Tourism, and the Supreme Award, marks an impressive achievement.
Ōpuke Thermal Pools and Spa general manager Matt Turner says the process for the ANZ Business of the Year awards began with selecting the categories that best represented their business’s efforts and vision, followed by an evaluation, and a presentation to a panel.
With more than 100 entries received by October 2023, a 40 per cent increase on the 2022 event, the ANZ Business of the Year Awards extended deadlines for businesses to enter until November 2023.
The awards were held at Ashburton’s Aviation Museum and Matt says winning their awards is a show to the hard work, and dedication they’ve all invested in Ōpuke Thermal Pools and Spa. “We’re absolutely thrilled.” he says.
