Exhibitor demand for MEETINGS 2026 is surging, with New Zealand’s largest business events showcase on track to sell out.
More than 250 New Zealand product and service providers are set to exhibit at the event, which will be held on June 17-18 at the New Zealand International Convention Centre in Auckland.
The event, organised by Business Events Industry Aotearoa, will be the 29th edition of MEETINGS and one of the first major industry events hosted at the new convention centre.
Demand for hosted buyer places is also high, with the programme allowing buyers to build their own appointment schedules this year.
BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins says the event will provide an opportunity for the business events sector to connect at New Zealand’s newest convention venue.
“We are thrilled to be working with the NZICC team to maximise this stunning new venue and to be celebrating New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland,” Lisa says.
“The appointment programme will be boosted by engaging dialogue with industry experts and innovators.”
Lisa says New Zealand remains an attractive destination for business events despite global uncertainty.
“At a time when global uncertainty is rising, New Zealand offers a safe and compelling destination for business events. Modern infrastructure, connections, diversity and a highly engaged industry give organisers confidence in both delivery and experience,” Lisa says.
Hosted buyers attending MEETINGS receive a package including travel with Air New Zealand, accommodation across 16 host hotels and invitations to official networking functions.
The programme will begin with the Auckland host city famil on June 16. Australian buyers can also apply for pre- and post-event famil programmes across New Zealand.
Lisa says the event provides an opportunity for buyers to explore destinations across the country.
“For those planning business in other destinations, this is the perfect opportunity to explore what is available, from the well-known to the up-and-coming gems,” Lisa says.
MEETINGS is also open to day buyers who wish to attend the exhibition without pre-scheduled appointments.
Applications for the hosted buyer programme close on Thursday, April 10, 2026.
