Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre says it has delivered a record year for international business events, citing strong delegate feedback and a growing pipeline of global conferences.
The venue, which has been operating for almost four years, hosted several large-scale international conventions in 2025 across sectors including climate resilience, science, health and policy development.
General manager Ross Steele says organisers have highlighted the centre’s facilities, event delivery capability and Christchurch’s compact, walkable city layout as strengths.
Delegates have also pointed to the accessibility of the central city, parks and gardens, and the integration of cultural elements through the venue’s Manaaki o Te Pae hospitality approach.
Te Pae was recently recertified as a Toitū Net Carbon Zero organisation, reflecting ongoing reductions in operational emissions. The centre says sustainability credentials are increasingly influencing international organisers’ venue selection.
The convention centre is preparing to host a further pipeline of international conferences in 2026 and beyond, supported by continued investment and development across Christchurch.
