The International Association of Professional Congress Organisers will bring its flagship EDGE education programme to Auckland from Monday, March 16, to Thursday, March 19, 2026.
IAPCO EDGE Auckland will be hosted at the New Zealand International Convention Centre, welcoming professional conference organisers and business events professionals from around the world for an immersive, masterclass-style training programme.
The programme is designed to lift professional standards and support organisers operating in an increasingly complex global meetings environment, with a focus on strategic thinking, peer-to-peer learning and real-world challenges.
The return to Auckland marks 10 years since the first IAPCO EDGE seminar was held in the city. IAPCO will recognise the milestone with a year-long celebration of the education programme.
IAPCO training academy chair Stephen Noble says EDGE has become a leading professional development opportunity for conference organisers.
“Over the past decade, EDGE has developed into one of the most valuable education programmes for those working in and around conferences,” says Stephen.
“It challenges thinking, encourages knowledge-sharing and strengthens the capabilities that underpin quality and confidence in conference delivery. We’re proud to bring EDGE back to Auckland, where it began.”
Hosting EDGE in Auckland also provides an opportunity to showcase the NZICC, which is scheduled to open in February 2026. EDGE will be among the first major international education programmes hosted at the venue.
IAPCO EDGE Auckland is supported by The Conference Company, Tourism New Zealand Business Events, the NZICC, Auckland Convention Bureau, Auckland Conventions Venues & Events and Urban Gourmet.
Places are limited and registrations are now open.
