Hilton has confirmed DoubleTree by Hilton Auckland Albert Street will open in 2026, marking the brand’s debut in New Zealand as part of a wider pipeline of new properties across Asia Pacific.
Located in Auckland’s city centre, the 231-room hotel will feature two suites, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, a fitness centre, and 400 square metres of flexible meeting and collaboration space for business and social events.
In Australia, Hilton will expand its presence in Tropical North Queensland with the opening of Hilton Palm Cove Cairns Resort & Spa. Joining Hilton and DoubleTree properties already operating in Cairns, the family-friendly resort will offer an outdoor pool, a range of dining and social venues, a kids’ club, fitness centre, and spa facilities.
Beyond Australasia, Hilton’s Asia Pacific pipeline includes a broad mix of city hotels and resort destinations across Fiji, Southeast Asia, North Asia, South Asia, and Greater China.
Key openings include Hilton Garden Inn Suva, marking the brand’s debut in Fiji; Canopy by Hilton Bangkok Sukhumvit in Thailand; Canopy by Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort in Japan; and NHAAN Resort & Spa Hoi An, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, introducing the Tapestry Collection brand to Vietnam.
Additional developments include several new properties in China, such as The Reserve Hotel Luoyang and Xi Zhe Wuxi, both part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, alongside the airport-connected Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. In Singapore, DoubleTree by Hilton Singapore Robertson Quay will open following the transformation of the former Hotel Miramar.
Hilton says the 2026 openings reflect changing traveller priorities across Asia Pacific, with increasing demand for connection-led travel, cultural discovery, and family-focused experiences.
