Air New Zealand is launching Double Days, its biggest double Status Points offer to date, giving Airpoints members the chance to retain their tier or move up the programme faster.
Running from Monday, December 1, to midnight on Wednesday, December 3, the promotion allows New Zealand-based Airpoints members to earn double Status Points when booking any Air New Zealand-operated or qualifying partner flight across 20 domestic and 29 international destinations. Travel can take place anytime between December 1, 2025, and November 21, 2026.
Air New Zealand general manager loyalty Alex Larsen says Double Days is an opportunity for members to accelerate their progress through the Airpoints tiers.
“We know our members value earning Status Points, so we’re thrilled to bring back this offer as an additional way to reward members. It’s our way of saying a heartfelt thank you to everyone who chooses to fly with Air New Zealand.
“Double Days helps get you the tier benefits you’ve been chasing that little bit faster. If you’re planning a weekend getaway or your dream overseas trip, this could be your chance to unlock a tier and rewards you’ve had your eye on.”
Status Points allow members to progress through Silver, Gold and Elite tiers, and from April 2026, the refreshed Koru Bronze, Koru Silver, Koru Gold and Koru Platinum tiers, as part of the airline’s wider loyalty programme update. A new top-earned tier, Koru Black, will launch in 2026.
To take part in Double Days, members must sign in or join Airpoints, book eligible flights during the three-day promotion, and collect double Status Points once they have flown.
Air New Zealand recently unveiled Koru, a refresh of its loyalty programme designed to offer greater recognition and value to its more than five million members. From April 2026, the programme will include new and enhanced benefits, refreshed tier names and the introduction of Koru Black.
“As we look ahead to the next chapter of the Airpoints programme, our focus remains on making travel more meaningful and more rewarding,” Alex says. “We’ll continue to evolve our Koru programme, bringing on new partners and unlocking more ways to earn and use Airpoints.”
