Timezone will open a new standalone entertainment venue in Rotorua this December, adding a purpose-built 800 square metre site to its New Zealand network.
Located at 223 Fenton Street, the venue will offer interactive games and attractions, including the Colour Grid, Spin Zone and a dedicated party room for birthdays and group events. The Rotorua centre has been designed as a social space for shared experiences, with a focus on family-friendly entertainment.
The venue will also feature Short Lane Bowling, a compact, fast-paced version of traditional bowling suited to spontaneous games and group challenges. Rhythm and music titles, including DDR Gold, maimai and Taiko no Tatsujin, will sit alongside motorsport favourite Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6 and a range of classic arcade games.
Guests can redeem tickets at the Prize Vault, where branded merchandise, collectables and confectionery will be available.
Timezone New Zealand general manager James Woodbridge says the opening reflects the company’s continued growth and commitment to community-focused entertainment.
“We’re excited to launch our own venue in Rotorua, tailored to deliver the full Timezone experience. This opening reflects our commitment to innovation, community, and creating spaces where people can come together and make lasting memories.”
Opening day celebrations will include exclusive giveaways for the first 300 guests and in-venue entertainment.
