More than 45 winners from across New Zealand and the South Pacific have been recognised at the 2025 HM Awards, celebrated at a gala dinner in Auckland on Friday, October 31, 2025.
The event, attended by more than 200 industry executives, recognised excellence across people, departments and properties in the accommodation and hospitality sector.
HM Awards founder and chief judge James Wilkinson says this year’s entries showcased the industry’s strength and diversity.
“Once again, the entries this year – from chefs to housekeepers, five-star resorts and apartment hotels – have been incredible. It has been terrific to see thousands of staff and properties highlight their achievements in another busy year,” James says.
“This year marks our 23rd year of hosting the HM Awards and recognising Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific’s finest. I’m thrilled we are back in Auckland for a second time to honour Aotearoa and the Pacific’s top properties.”
The Aotearoa Pacific gala presentation was sponsored by Sealy New Zealand, alongside co-hosts Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, fbm and FutureLog.
Other supporters included PurchasePlus, Tappoo, Wayfarer, Encore, JLL, Tourism Talent and Travmedia, with additional support from Hotel Council Aotearoa and AHICE.
Several major regional categories — including New Zealand and Fijian General Managers, and top hotel and resort awards — will be announced at the HM Awards Australasia gala in Sydney on Friday, November 21, 2025.
