Wellington Airport has welcomed the announcement of a new veterinary hospital planned for Miramar, calling it another exciting step forward for the area.
Wellington Airport chief executive Matt Clarke says the project reflects continued confidence and investment in the eastern suburbs.
“Wellington and Miramar are so fortunate to have people like Sir Peter Jackson and Dame Fran Walsh making incredible investments like this in our community,” says Matt.
“As one of the biggest businesses in the area, we’ve seen first-hand their commitment and support for activities which enhance the place we all love,” says Matt.
“This significant project is a turning point for Wellington and will provide new jobs and investment, as well as being an amazing service for pet owners,” says Matt.
He says the development adds to a wave of new investment across the area.
“It’s yet another exciting new project for this area, alongside our terminal upgrade underway, a new Airport Fire Station close to completion, a state-of-the-art golf driving range going up next door and the community facilities development on Lyall Bay Parade,” says Matt.
“The eastern suburbs are a jewel in Wellington’s crown and a real bright spot of development and positivity.”
