It has already been a significant year for Conference Innovators, one of New Zealand’s leading professional conference organising companies, with the announcement of a new director and their 30-year corporate anniversary.
The celebrations look set to continue however, with the company’s latest milestone – the re-establishment of an office in central Wellington.
With offices in both Auckland and Christchurch, the return to the capital reflects the need for an on-the-ground presence in a fast-developing business events environment and signals a commitment to the continuing growth of the company.
“Wellington is an incredible destination for the conference and events industry,” says CI director Rachel Cook. “The city offers outstanding accessibility, state-of-the-art conference facilities and a rich, distinctive culture.
“Wellington has long been part of CI’s story – we have many long-standing clients here, valued suppliers, and strong collaborations with Business Events Wellington, Tourism New Zealand and local venues. Re-establishing our presence in the capital is an exciting opportunity to further strengthen these connections, contribute to the city’s economic growth, and build new relationships in the years ahead.”
The Wellington branch will be led by the company’s newest team member – Te Oranoa Wawatai, who commences this week as a project manager. Te Oranoa has a strong history in the events industry having worked with Multi-Media Systems since 2019.
“Establishing a professional, dedicated and ongoing presence in the capital requires the right person and we are delighted Te Oranoa is joining our dynamic team,” said Terri Lowsley, Director. “We have worked with Te Oranoa since 2021 and value her experience and strong relationships with industry representatives in Wellington and throughout New Zealand. Her desire to go above and beyond for clients, along with her warm personality, makes her the perfect fit for our team.”
The announcement of Conference Innovators’ additional infrastructure and personnel is a strong indication of the company’s determination to grow and further reinforces its reputation as a leading New Zealand PCO. It signals a significant investment not only in the capital, but in the future of this country’s business events industry.
