After a busy few days of working hard, the buyers and exhibitors all gathered around the Air New Zealand and 100% Pure New Zealand stand. Infront of the jovial crowd, Business Events Industry Association CEO Lisa Hopkins awarded three stand prizes and two experience packages.
Prize for ‘Best New Exhibitor’ went to Roam. A brand-new company with a whopping 10 days under their belt, Roam had created a remarkable stand. They partnered with Miller Road Fragrance Studio for MEETINGS and, as a result during every break, an extensive queue formed outside their stand to blend their own perfume. This translated into conversations about the luxury incentives tourism that Roam is focused on.
The next prize for ‘Best Individual Stand’ was captured by the reigning champs, Millennium Hotels. They brought a classy relaxation lounge with a snack stand, staff, couches and comfy chairs to support the weary show walkers.
The final stand prize was awarded for ‘Best Regional Stand’. The team at RotoruaNZ took this prize with a visually stunning exhibition featuring a Māori carving in the form of a waharoa (entrance arch). Flanked by ferns on each side and an exuberant team, the stand welcomed you to enter the world of Rotorua.
Additionally, RotoruaNZ provided two extensive prize packs for a prize draw. The ‘Luxe Prize Pack’ included luxury hotel accommodation, Rotorua Canopy Tours, Skyline Rotorua, access to the Polynesian Spa, Eastwood Café, and Te Puia. This was won by Philipe Green.
The second prize pack was the ‘Adventure Prize Pack’, included a stay at the Millennium Hotel Rotorua, Rotorua Zip Lines, Rotorua Rafting, Eastwood Café, Westwood Café, Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa, Te Puia, Zoo Rotorua, and Offroad NZ. This prize was claimed by Jacob Smith.
With much laughter he was cozy in a bathrobe and presented with his certificate of winnings.
