Air Chathams is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Tūroa Ski Area, opening up exciting opportunities for winter sports enthusiasts to access the stunning ski slopes of Mount Ruapehu directly from Auckland to Whanganui.
This established route allows avid snowboarders and skiers to board an Air Chathams flight from Auckland, hire a vehicle locally, and be on the slopes at Tūroa and enjoying a cozy drink at the Powderhorn Chateau, within two hours from landing.
The partnership strengthens the upper north island’s connection with the Ruapehu district and provides visitors another critical link to support tourism within the region. The air linkage is a timely connection to support the renewed direction of Tūroa given the recent concession for the company to operate on Mt Ruapehu.
