Hawaiian Airlines has confirmed the return date for its 2025-2026 seasonal service between New Zealand and Hawaiʻi.
Beginning November 18, 2025, the airline will resume its thrice-weekly nonstop flights from Auckland to Honolulu, catering to the strong demand from Kiwi travellers planning a Hawaiʻi getaway or connecting to the U.S. mainland, as well as U.S. visitors eager to explore New Zealand.
The popular summer-autumn service highlights Hawaiian Airlines’ commitment to meeting the needs of travellers on both sides of the Pacific.
Hawaiian’s 2024-2025 seasonal period will pause as planned on April 30, 2025.
“Kiwis have continued to take advantage of our convenient nonstop flights to and from Auckland, choosing Hawaiian Airlines as their carrier of choice for summer, Christmas and school holidays getaways in Hawaiʻi and the U.S. mainland,” says Hawaiian Airlines country director Russell Williss.
“We have also welcomed significant growth in travellers originating from the U.S. mainland,
especially the Pacific Northwest – following our combination with Alaska Airlines. Our mutual guests are discovering the appeal of flying Hawaiian Airlines via Honolulu to the Auckland gateway,” he says.
“At the same time, Kiwis can now access over 100 U.S. destinations through our expanded joint network.”
HA8445 is scheduled to resume on November 16, departing Honolulu at 1:05pm and arriving in Auckland at 9:20pm the following day. The return flight, HA8446, will depart Auckland at 11:30pm on November 18, arriving in Honolulu at 9:15am the same day.
Hawaiian will operate the route with 278-seat, wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft featuring 18
Premium Cabin lie-flat leather seats, 68 of the carrier’s popular Extra Comfort seats and 192 Main Cabin seats.
Guests also enjoy complimentary high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi.
Hawaiian Airlines has served the Oceania market for more than 20 years and the New Zealand market for more than a decade, offering Kiwis and Aussies the opportunity to experience aloha, enjoying an authentic Hawaiʻi travel experience with family and friends on their way to the Hawaiian Islands and beyond.
As part of the Alaska Air Group, Hawaiian Airlines now provides Kiwi travellers with access to three times as many U.S. destinations, thanks to seamless, one-stop connections on Alaska Airlines’ extensive domestic network. Travellers flying to the U.S. mainland can also enjoy a convenient stopover in Honolulu at either end of their journey. Additionally, loyalty members of both Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines can earn, redeem and transfer miles across both carriers, with more exciting benefits on the way.
